Rover Nights
Rover Nights is our special program designed to give our shelter dogs a much-needed break from kennel life by allowing them to spend a night or even a whole weekend in a loving home environment. This unique opportunity not only benefits the dogs but also enriches the lives of the families who participate.
For the Dogs:
Taking a dog home for Rover Nights provides them with a chance to unwind and relax outside of the shelter environment. This break from the kennel helps reduce stress and anxiety, giving them a taste of what it's like to be part of a family. It also allows us to learn more about their behavior in a home setting, which can be valuable information for potential adopters.
For the Families:
Rover Nights is a wonderful way for families and individuals to experience the joy of having a furry companion without the long-term commitment. Whether you're a seasoned pet owner or considering adoption in the future, this program allows you to see if a particular dog is the right fit for your lifestyle and home.
How it Works:
Participating in Rover Nights is simple. You start by contacting us at volunteer@hsecarolina.org at least 24 hours in advance to express your interest and schedule a pickup time. We provide everything you'll need for your furry guest - food, bedding, toys, and more. All you need to supply is a safe and caring environment.
Making a Difference:
By taking part in Rover Nights, you're not only providing a temporary home for a dog in need but also helping to raise awareness about our adoptable pets. Sharing your experience on social media, taking the dog for a neighborhood stroll, or simply enjoying some quality time together all contribute to promoting their adoption.
